Vehicles need to be energy efficient, use light-weight and efficient batteries that function well in Indian conditions with materials that are recyclable. Developing vehicle sub-systems and components for Indian requirements including rare-earth based electric motors, Lithium-ion batteries, power electronics, etc. will be addressed using academia-industry collaborations”.
